  1. I joined to learn how to train my dog, the most important thing i learned is, it’s very hard to do that when you don’t have a dog.

    1. Literally millions of pets in shelters wouldn’t mind if you bring a bag of treats and spend some time training them. You do not need a dog to help one! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hannah Hoola well at least we are getting a labradoodle in march๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜they are sooooooo cute

    2. Hannah Hoola Same lol, but my parents might get me a dog soon, we already filled out a form but haven’t gotten an answer.

    3. SAME, Well I’m getting a dog next week but I’ve been watching his videos since October!

    4. interesting points ,if anyone else wants to uncover best way to train a puppy try Panlarko Perfect Canine Planner (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my co-worker got amazing success with it.

  2. I subscribed after getting a German Shepherd puppy and wanting to what’s best for her. I watched your potty training video and have been a sub ever since!

    1. Jimmy Travens true I got a golden retriever and he is just SUPER playful and now he obeys me

Dominance theory isn’t used to TRAIN dogs, it is utilized to channel and maintain your dog’s mental state into a stable, healthy one so that he can focus on being a dog and not your guide through life because that’s when you run into trouble.
Dominance theory from 40 years ago where they used only harsh, legitimately abusive methods is outdated, yes.

Dominance theory today is basically this: Keep your dog calm by keeping yourself calm and more confident than your dog. Correct your dog by projecting yourself as someone who is in control of any given situation before and when your dog steps out of line.
Reward good behaviour with affection and treats, good behaviour is calm and submissive. Calm, as in not erratic and full of energy, submissive as in OPEN for input and direction. You want your dog to respect you and put his fate in your hands because, at the end of the day, YOu are HIS benefactor and guide through life.

Very true, and yes itโ€™s not used directly TO train dogs but is ESSENTIAL for any good training.

  6. I love this trainer but I swear to god if I hear one more lecture on pet flow I am going to cry on the floor ๐Ÿ˜ฟ

    1. Iโ€™m sure that having a sponsor to his channel like petflow allows him to keep these videos FREE to us!

  7. I’m getting a chow chow puppy and I’m gathering so much info just to be prepared ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜‚

  8. I’ve joined the dog training revolution because I find positive reinforcement much more effective than positive punishment based training. I love these videos because they are so helpful and I relish at the fact that this revolution is only getting stronger and bigger.

    1. CreamyBlu Zuniga Balanced training has no punishment in it. At least, good balanced trainers don’t. You gotta learn to tell your dog no.

  9. You can not only learn a lot about dog behaviour from this video, but also a lot about human behaviour from the comments ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. They could have. I have one and my dog wouldn’t stop barking. He wasn’t as bad as this but it was annoying. When I tried this with him it worked very quickly. A lot of the time websites about australian shepherds say that they’re stubborn but they never say how much they bark.

    2. Weslea Kirkpatrick yeah really, especially when you get a puppy, it looks like the owners don’t even keep her stimulated and exercised, which is where the barking probably came from

    3. Not all aussies are like this. I have had one fire 8 years who only barked when the bell rang or if someone walked parts our house(so not too bad). We recently got one who barks at pretty much the same things he does. Sometimes an owner has experience with a breed, but when they get another one it is completely different. Aussies can be trained very easily though if you do it right. They are stubborn, but you just need to bond with them and find out with works for not only them but you.

  10. I know this is not related to this video, but do you have one about dogs that urinate when greeting people who come to your house? I have a 19 month chocolate lab that has been doing that. He is high energy and gets walked, has training sessions and plays fetch every day.

    1. Maybe if you knew someone’s coming to your house have them meet the quests outside the house at the yard.

    2. This isnโ€™t professional advice or anything , but I have a dog who used to do the same thing when we got him, at the door her would pee as soon as someone came in, if someone make eye contact with him or talked to him a certain want he would pee. We managed to fix his problem in a few ways. We always make sure to take him out at least 30 minutes before we know guest will be arriving so he has an empty bladder. We also do not have Anyone greet him, since he gets so over exited and it leads to peeing , we tell all of our guests to ignore him. Donโ€™t talk to him, donโ€™t look at him. Nothing , until he calms down. We just go about our business with our guests unless he calmly approaches a guest at which point the can pet him a few times. But the whole point was to not make it into a big deal for the dog! Hope that helps some, good luck!

    1. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks. However, not interested. I had a show on Animal Planet (“SuperFetch), and the BBC (“Who Let the Dog Out?”). I LOVE Youtube for so many reasons…worldwide distribution, ultimate creative control, and of course I own my own content. TV is not as good as what we are doing together as a community right here! Plus our numbers are far better here than on TV…so this is where we can make a bigger difference!

    2. Zak George’s Dog Training rEvolution m, I hadn’t thought of those things. Well, I’m glad you’re here at least. Now, do you have a video on pawing behavior? And how about a dog so fearful of The World outside the front door (and even sometimes outside the back door), that he is still not leash trained?

    1. hey ,if anyone else wants to uncover house training your puppy try Loctavan Quick Puppy Strategy (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my neighbor got great success with it.

    2. I take care of a dog that barks lots at anyone that passes by his house sidewalk, he is known by the menace in the neighborhood his owner has tried many things but nothing has worked she even got another older dog hoping that this would help but nothing. When I walk him he is a good dog but when his owner walk him he has launch at people. He doesn’t like kids he barks at them like there is no tomorrow, bikes, motorcycles or skateboards. I want to help her because it has gotten to the point that she is thinking of giving him away to a relative or something.

    3. There are several factors in house training a dog. One plan I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Bevs Booster Guide (check it out on google) without a doubt the no.1 resource i’ve seen.look at all the incredible info

    4. If anyone is interested in dog training the best success that ive had was by using the Bevs Booster Guide (just google it) – definately the no.1 treatment that I have ever followed.
